Chicago latest city to revamp lobbyist registration rules

New transparency rules passed in July require trade groups lobbying in Chicago to register; information to be posted online. New ethics rules adopted by Chicago in July require trade association employees to register with the city if they plan to lobby city government, although it exempts volunteers, board members and other non-paid representatives of a trade group.
